Donation Information
Casa regards each and every donation as a highly valued expression of your desire to make a difference and to help ensure better futures for the 200 or more hurting teenagers who walk through our doors every year. Kids come to us seeking shelter from the dangers of the street or the pain of neglect, abandonment, or physical, emotional, or sexual abuse. Your financial support or charitable donation of goods makes it possible for us to offer these kids safety, shelter, and intensive counseling in a safe and nurturing homelike setting.
- Casa Youth Shelter is a 501 (c) 3 private, non-profit community agency.
- Our Federal Tax ID number is 95-3218061.
- Donations made to Casa Youth Shelter are considered to be tax deductible on your itemized tax return.
- Itemized receipts are issued for every donation. It is the responsibility of the contributing party to determine and claim the fair market value of "in-kind" donations.
- All donations made to Casa Youth Shelter are stipulated to have been made without provision of goods or services in consideration, in whole or in part, for the contribution.
- Automobile Donation Program - "Automobile donations can be made by calling the Riteway Charity Services - 888-250-4490 and specifying your wish to donate an automobile to benefit Casa Youth Shelter. Riteway Charities will then take care of everything. Riteway Charities will call and make an appointment to pick up the automobile, will issue a receipt, remove theautomobile, smog and/or repair it as necessary, take care of all paperwork and will sell the vehicle. As soon as net funds from the sale are actually received, usually 6-8 weeks later, Casa Youth Shelter will forward its formal receipt acknowledging the amount of actual 'funds received' to the donor."
