Our Staff

Casa's arrangements with local universities and community colleges have not only permitted recruitment of MFT Trainees, Undergraduate Interns and Fieldworkers, but they have also proved wonderful opportunities for recruiting outstanding students for employment. A large percentage of our employees come to us from these programs and remain with us as either full or part-time employees while they continue their studies. We believe the warm, caring, and welcoming atmosphere of the shelter is also reflected by an employee tenure record that ranges from 4 to 22 years.

Directions to Casa Youth Shelter

Casa Youth Shelter is easily accessible from the 405, 605, and 91 Freeways.

Casa is located two blocks east of Los Alamitos Blvd., and one block north of Katella at:
10911 Reagan Street, Los Alamitos CA 90720  (click for Yahoo Maps)
(Note: Seal Beach, Los Alamitos, and Norwalk Blvd. are all the same street).

Directions: From the 605 Freeway, take the Katella Avenue offramp and go east for approximately one mile to the second street past Los Alamitos Blvd. Make a left on Reagan. There is no signal light or stop sign at Katella and Reagan, but there is a tan church on the corner that you can use as a landmark. Casa is three doors down from the church on the same side of the street. Park on either side of the street, but on Tuesday mornings the street sweeper comes by and if you are on the wrong side you will get a ticket.
Watch the signs.

OUR MISSION

The purpose of Casa Youth Shelter is to provide temporary shelter for runaways and youth in crisis, enabling them to come through the crisis with an increased personal strength and a sense of renewal while in a supportive environment, with family reunification as a primary goal.
