Join our Casa Youth Shelter Volunteer Corps
Looking for ways to use your unique skills to give back to the local community? There are so many ways you can help – and we can show you how! We are always looking for enthusiastic and reliable volunteers to join our team. Here are just a few of the possibilities:
- Arts and crafts
- Cleaning and organizing
- Crisis hotline
- Donation processing
- Fund development
- General shelter maintenance
- Holiday decorating
- Marketing and public relations
- Meal prep and cooking
- Resident outings and recreation (baseball games, amusement parks, etc.)
- Spanish language interpreters
Meet tons of cool new people as you use your talents to improve the lives of local youth. You’ll be supporting our hard-working staff as we create a safe, nurturing environment for our residents.
What You’ll Get
You’ll receive a formal onsite Orientation to becoming a Casa Youth Shelter volunteer, plus training specific to your volunteer position. You will also receive a Casa Youth Shelter shirt and an invitation to our annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner!
Volunteers must be at least 23 years of age and commit to a minimum of 2 hours per week for a minimum of 1 year. Must pass a background check, complete all required paperwork, and attend an onsite Volunteer Orientation. Volunteer positions may have a set schedule depending on the needs of the shelter or the availability of the volunteer. Some positions are on-call.
